Is there still an undercurrent of English racism in Scotland?
A young woman was left with serious facial injuries after an allegedly anti-English attack in Aberdeen at the weekend. Lucy Newman, 22, of Gourdon, near Inverbervie, told Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland a man made racial remarks relating to her English accent before punching her in the face.
Despite this attack, do you think the problem of anti-English racism is exaggerated and that it's mostly just the traditional rivalry between our two countries? Or have you experienced racial abuse as an English person living in Scotland?
Plus... Should children be let into football matches for free?
That's the call from the Scottish Government today. We hear from the Sports Minister who says it will promote healthier lifestyles. But will it become yet another financial burden, especially for the hard-pressed smaller clubs? And is this best way to promote healthier lifestyles? Should more resources go into facilities where children can actually take part in sport?
Shereen Nanjiani takes your calls, texts and emails.
