Is there a class system in Scotland?
The former deputy PM John Prescott thinks Britain is divided by class, but is Scotland? and What role do private schools play? Graham Stewart takes your calls.
The former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott thinks Britain still suffers from class divisions and an unequal society. In a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ2 programme he presented last night, the Hull East MP partly blamed our education system. If he's right, should we be giving private schools charitable status? It's been reported today that four of Scotland's private schools are set to lose this privilege, which gives them thousands of pounds in tax breaks each year. Is such a system fair? Or are we using public money to exacerbate the inequalities in our society?
Graham Stewart takes your texts, calls and emails.
