Phil Minton Quartet in Session

Jez Nelson presents a session of improvised music from vocal experimentalist Phil Minton and his Quartet, featuring John Butcher on reeds, Veryan Weston on piano and Roger Turner on drums.

During more than four decades, Minton has been celebrated for his innovative approach to vocal performance. Using highly controlled breathing techniques, he produces sounds ranging from high frequency squawks to deep guttural bellows.
