How has the collapse in the markets affected you?
Graham Stewart asks how worried you are after stock markets plummet across the world.
US and European shares have plummeted after a $700bn US bail-out was rejected and a slew of bad news emerged from the troubled banking sector. This morning's front pages carry headlines like "World in Turmoil", "Wall St Carnage" and "World economy heading into freefall". But have the economic woes have affected you yet? Have you seen your wealth plummet this morning? Maybe your mortgage rates have just gone up, or your business is finding it difficult to get credit. As they say in the US, has Wall Street affected Main Street yet?
Plus: Do you support a tax on second homes?
As part of the Scottish Government's plans to replace the council tax, local authorities will be allowed to charge an extra levy on second homes. The idea has been met with some support: Highland Council says it would use the money to provide more affordable housing. But would such a tax be economic suicide given the state of the economy? Or is it about time those who've been priced out of the housing market get a leg up?
Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
