Jim and Carole go tomato crazy as Jim uses his traditional methods of growing cordon tomatoes in his greenhouses while Carole takes the simpler approach of growing bush tomatoes in the polytunnel.
Jim shows how to thin fruit trees for maximum gain and takes a look at Carole's low-fat chocolate border. Carole visits the stunning new roof garden at the World Heritage site of New Lanark, inspired by the ideals of the site's creator, Robert Owen.
Also, Jim sets a big project in motion with Marily and Stuart Henderson in Greenloaning, who want advice on how to remove an old summer house and how to deal with the damp patch that will be left behind.
