Does society demonise young people?
Graham Stewart takes your calls on a report by Children's Commissioners which suggests young people are being demonised by society. Plus: Should we prescribe heroin to users?
The four UK Children's Commissioners have published a hard-hitting report on children's rights, claiming that attitudes towards youngsters are hardening across the country and that we're locking too many of them up. Does the media feed people's fear of young people? Or, in your experience, are unruly youths an everyday reality?
We also hear about a new scheme to tackle the high number of serious accidents involving young drivers in Dumfries and Galloway.
Plus: Should we prescribe heroin to users?
A Holyrood think tank's calling for a sweeping change in the official approach to drug and alcohol misuse. Scotland's Futures Forum is proposing the setting up of consumption rooms where addicts can take drugs safely. In a report to be published later this morning, it also suggests the prescription of heroin to users and the taxation of cannabis.
Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
