Hayley makes a difficult journey.

Hayley's discharged from hospital and chats to Amy about her midwifery course while waiting for Roy to pick her up. Later Hayley rings Brenda to invite her round to Willow Farm tomorrow.

Amy and Usha have fun going clothes shopping together. Later Usha visits Ruth where she admits that because it's Alan's busiest time of year she's not seeing a lot of him. But she did go to the Palm Sunday service and they're doing the parish walk together. As the smell of one of Jill's casseroles wafts over, Ruth explains that Jill's using her oven. Phil's teaching Bert to cook because of Freda's diet. However, the unfortunate side effect of this is that Bert's been making too much and has been trying to force the somewhat "stodgy" leftovers on Lower Loxley staff.

Pat chats to Tony about putting in an objection to the planning application for the anaerobic digester, but Tony tells her to leave him out of it - it's a waste of time and it will cause bad feeling in the family. He tells her to think very carefully before putting in an objection and if he were Pat he wouldn't bother. When Pat says he's not her, Tony replies that's what he's afraid of.
