Johnny Hallyday has sold more than 100 million albums and plays to audiences of over 100,000 people. He has been one of the world's biggest stars for more than 40 years and yet, unless you're French, you might never have heard of him.

This series traces Johnny's life, from his desperately poor childhood to his recent appearances, at the age of 64, playing to huge audiences. Featuring interviews with Hallyday himself, Charles Aznavour, Procol Harum guitarist Geoff Whitehorn and Petula Clark.
