Jenny speaks from bitter experience.
Jennifer's excited about Adam and Debbie's green energy plan - not least because it's the first time in years that they've all agreed on something - and she's pleased that David and Ruth want to be involved.
Oliver's hosting a drinks party at Grey Gables when Lynda asks if he'll be the compere at the Christmas concert. She can't do it herself because the event has grown so big she'll be too busy ensuring its smooth running. Oliver's delighted to accept.
David does the count-down to the switching on of the Christmas lights - even the village hall is lit up brightly with the aid of a generator and thanks to Eddie's contact for Christmas decorations. Lynda and Eddie are both busy dishing out flyers and promoting their forthcoming events but Lilian can't get into the festive mood. Having overheard Matt singing Annabelle's praises, she confides in Jennifer that she really doesn't know what to think any more. Although Jennifer insists that Matt wouldn't mix business and pleasure, she advises Lilian to meet Annabelle. In Jennifer's experience you've got to know the enemy. Only when you know what you're up against can you decide how to fight the battle.
