Another chance to hear the Takacs Quartet, one of the world's leading string quartets, in a concert of late works by Mozart and Dvorak given last Monday at the Wigmore Hall, London.
The second of his six quartets dedicated to Haydn, the D minor is Mozart's only mature string quartet written in a minor key, while in his American Quartet, Dvorak explores the various musical influences of his adopted home. Presented by Sara Mohr-Pietsch.
