Laurie Taylor is joined by Dorothy Hobson author of Channel 4 Television: The Early Years and the Jeremy Isaacs Legacy and Greg Philo,Professor of Sociology at Glasgow University. They discuss its history, singularity and enduring appeal.
THE DAY OF THE DEAD
On the 1st and 2nd of November, Mexicans will be celebrating the Day of the Dead. Anthropologist and world expert in this ritual, Stanley Brandes, is the author of a new book entitled Skulls to the Living, Bread to the Dead.Β On the phone from the city of Zamora in the Mexican state of MichoacΓ‘n he explains what preparations are underway.
