Lynda flexes her writing muscles.

Emma's not happy to find Nic looking after George, even though Will's only getting changed. Will apologises for Emma's attitude but Nic's more concerned about Clarrie; she's convinced Clarrie sees her as a gold-digger. Will insists Clarrie just needs time. Nic's also worried about the Young Farmers' do. Will assures her it's not just for posh gits - after all, he's not posh - it's a fundraising fun and games night and it's open to anyone.

Even so, they're all surprised to see Robert and Lynda there. Tom and Brenda find it particularly amusing to hear the Snells' improvised, contradictory versions of why they're at the event. Lynda insists they're friends of the owners, while Robert almost lets the cat out of the bag about Lynda's article. He's got the wrong idea about the evening, and is convinced there's a whole load of obscene behaviour going on - so much so that he reads something vulgar into everything that's being said and done.

Robert's desperate to leave but Lynda refuses to budge until the evening reaches its climax. It's too much for Robert. Convinced that Lynda's skulking around like a tabloid hack, he refuses to stay any longer - he's going to wait in the car.
