Herb Alpert hits the charts again in the late 1970s with crossover dance track Rise, collaborates with Janet Jackson and sells A&M Records for $500,000 before starting another label, Almo Sounds. His life as a painter and broadway producer run alonngside his musical career and Herb enters the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
