Episode 6 of 26

Gardening series Jim McColl, Carole Baxter, Lesley Watson and Carolyn Spray. This week, the team provide advice on lawns.

There is a lawn theme to The Beechgrove Garden in this episode. Jim shows what to do at this time of year to give you that putting green finish, while Carole takes a more relaxed look at a grassy meadow seed mix that will bring all sorts of wild flowers into the lawn around the Beechgrove orchard.

Carole is also in lawn mood in Ochiltree in Ayrshire. Susan Turner and Peter MacBride have a new build house with approx half an acre of land. It's a tough one, as it is clay soil and used to be a field and is populated by moles. Susan would like to have a bowling green lawn but doesn't know where to start. Carole shows how to set up a lawn from scratch and puts in drainage and deals with Mr. Mole.
