Drama about two young friends who drift apart when a strange loner comes into their lives.

The two twelve-year-old boys, one of whom has a debilitating back condition and the other whose errant father has returned to the family home, meet an eccentric young man whose presence gradually erodes the friendship between them. He soon begins acting as a surrogate father to one of the boys to try and get closer to his attractive sister.
