Sue MacGregor is joined by five women who were all debutantes in 1958. Elfrida Eden-Fallowfield, niece of the former prime Minister Anthony Eden. Byron biographer Fiona McCarthy, author of a book about the final season. Former model Penny Graham, daughter of the Daily Express's racing correspondent Clive Graham and the first of β€œthe last debs” to be presented. Maggie Chilton, who's today a counselor and a psychotherapist. And Lady Diane Nutting, who was presented at court at 16 – she told one member of the press in 1958 that she hoped to go on to be a film star.
