Audio Lab is for anyone who’s already started making podcasts or has some experience in narrative audio content. Additionally, you have a great idea that can’t be found anywhere else. This is your chance to make your big podcast over multiple episodes - with the help of award-winning audio producers and executives. You will start in early July 2024 and be engaged full time for 7 months until January 2025.
You will have a range of production skills that might include writing; recording; editing; interviewing; presenting and be highly motivated about developing them further.

Do I need to have a title for my podcast before I apply?
If you don’t have a title yet, it’s enough to describe your podcast or have a working title.
Is there an upper age limit for Audio Lab?
Anyone 18 years old or over can apply
How much experience do I need?
Audio Lab is for podcasters and audio creators who have already started in this space and are looking for further training; support; mentoring and resources to help boost their skills and progress to the next-level. Any combination of audio production skills are welcome, including: producing; presenting; writing; editing; interviewing; scripting and research.
Is there room for the podcast to be adapted with the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ or does it need to be ready to go?
The purpose of Audio Lab is to develop you and your idea. Successful applicants will have access to practical & online training as well as experts to help you upskill and develop your idea.
What tips can the Year 1 Creators give on how to build a successful application?
Adam Zmith says “Be bold and creative - make it something that only YOU could do. Be clear and concrete in your idea, not vague or abstract”.
Is Audio Lab looking for any specific genres or subjects?
We’re keen to hear ideas about Food, Travel, Relationships, Parenting, Business & Entrepreneurship, Technology and Health & Wellbeing. If your idea doesn’t fit into one of these subjects, we’re still interested in it. Make sure you tell us how your perspective or ‘take’ will add something other podcasts don’t have.
