We're very pleased to say that seven of the ten acts on the Sound Of 2022 longlist have previously shared their music via the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Introducing Uploader and gone on to be supported by their local Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio shows. Find out more about each one...

  • What is Sound of?

    The Sound Of list started in 2003 with the aim to showcase the most exciting rising stars in music. 19 years later, and the aim is the same - to continue predicting some of the biggest and most exciting global superstars including previous winners Adele, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Years & Years, Ray BLK and Sigrid. The acts that appear on Sound Of are all hand-picked by a panel of impartial music industry experts from around the world.

  • First submitted tracks to Introducing in 2021
  • Her track I Must Apologise was a Hottest Record on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1

Baby Queen (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing London)

• First submitted music to the uploader in 2020, where it was picked up by Introducing in London
• Her tracks were included in the Introducing London best of 2020 show and she has also been a featured artist

Enny (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing London)


• First uploaded in October 2020 and supported by Introducing in London
• She’s also been played frequently on 1Xtra
• Played an Introducing showcase at the Lexington in London October 2021
• Her track Peng Black Girls was a track of the week on 1Xtra in November 2020

Lola Young (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing London)


• Uploaded her first track to Introducing in October 2019 and has been consistently supported since
• Selected as a featured artist for Introducing in London in August of this year
• She has also been supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1

Mimi Webb (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Kent)

• First uploaded her music in January 2021
• Has been heavily supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing in Kent who have played her tracks including Dumb Love and Good Without
• Her track Reasons was a Radio 1 Track of the Week in February 2021

Priya Ragu (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing London)


• Uploaded her first track Lighthouse in February 2019
• Has been supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing in London and Bobby Friction on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asian Network

Wet Leg (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Solent)


• Uploaded for the first time in November 2019
• They’ve been supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Solent and Steve Lamacq on 6 Music
