Doorstep carols

Singing can help lift spirits, help with low feelings and connect people who may be feeling lonely or isolated at this time of year.

We want to do something to help and so we’ve teamed up with , a group bringing together musicians, children’s organisations, community groups - and people who just want to enjoy singing together.

Communities will come together for an hour of carol singing in their local areas with more than 25 local Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio stations taking part.

The event grew out of the lockdown at Christmas 2020, when people joined their neighbours in a socially-distanced celebration in their streets. This year with fewer restrictions, the options for joining in have grown.

Events are planned everywhere from cathedrals to care homes, and from town squares to hospitals.

To get involved, tune in to your local Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ radio station on Wednesday 15 December 2021 from 6pm.

Then wrap up warm and get ready to sing on your doorsteps, with your families or with your community.
