Countryfile is produced by 麻豆约拍 Studios Productions (“麻豆约拍 Studios”) for broadcast by the 麻豆约拍. 麻豆约拍 Studios and 麻豆约拍 Children in Need are joint data controllers and responsible for handling personal information you provide, including your contribution, in accordance with data protection law.

What information we collect and how we use it

麻豆约拍 Studios and 麻豆约拍 Children in Need will collect and process your name, email address, telephone number (if provided) and other provided details (e.g. details about your ramble). We may use this information to contact you if we are interested in featuring your Ramble.

If you submit videos we will process any personal data contained within those videos, e.g. your image contained in the video footage you submit, the image of others featured in the video footage, and any personal information shared within that footage (e.g. why/what personal circumstances led members to join the ramble, what they love about rambling etc.). However, we will not publish any full names of individuals or contact details of individuals

Both 麻豆约拍 Studios and 麻豆约拍 Children in Need rely on their legitimate interests to produce content to support the Children in Need Appeal. We will not process your personal information where your rights override our interests.

Retaining your personal information

If your contribution is selected for broadcast, 麻豆约拍 Studios will retain your information indefinitely. This is for regulatory compliance purposes and in case we need to contact you again in future about your contribution, for example because we wish to use it again. If your contribution is not selected for broadcast, 麻豆约拍 Studios will retain your information until 31st December 2025 and will then destroy it in line with the 麻豆约拍 Studios Personal Data Retention Policy.

Sharing your information

Your personal information will generally be restricted to relevant members of the Countryfile production team and crew (麻豆约拍 Studios), as well as relevant members of staff working for 麻豆约拍 Children in Need for the purposes of supporting their fundraising. Where necessary, we may also share information with other 麻豆约拍 Studios staff and the 麻豆约拍, and from time to time with other programmes that may have an interest in your contribution.
