As one of the founding members of the most successful group of the disco era - Chic - has enjoyed an unparalleled career spanning decades. His profound influence extends across almost every musical genre and he has collaborated with some of the all time greats including Bowie, Madonna and Prince. He has also worked with some of the most exciting contemporary artists such as Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and fellow Music Day ambassadors, Duran Duran and Laura Mvula.

has been a household name for over a decade and is now one of the nation's best loved singers. In the studio and live on stage he is a natural performer and a true believer in the power of music.

Gospel singer extraordinaire will be in Birmingham New Street Station for an unforgettable performance at 9.00am on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Day, Friday 3rd June 2016. There will be a flash-mob style performance at the station of the Gospel classic 'This Train' which Ruby will be performing along with the winners of the first-ever Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year, The Birmingham Town Hall Gospel Choir.

is an English folk singer and guitarist who has remained one of the most influential figures in British traditional music. He emerged as a young musician in the early days of the folk revival and gained notoriety for his unique and traditional style. He has collaborated with a wide variety of artists throughout his career, which makes him a perfect Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Day Ambassador.
On Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Day, Martin Carthy is leading a unique folk collaboration with Manchester balladress, Jennifer Reid, vocalists Glen Latouche and T Carthy from Edward II and The Fosbrooks.
They are performing their version of 'Handloom Weaver's Lament' with clog dancing on the rooftop of Bruntwood's Blackfriars House and beautiful views of Manchester as their backdrop.

is a classically trained singer turned composer and conductor. Bob is our ambassador for the ‘Bells Ring Out for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Day’ – where church bells will ring simultaneously across the UK at 7pm. Bob was a chorister at King’s College Cambridge and is most renowned for his choral and sacred works, so he is well placed to champion the long held traditions surrounding church music within Britain. On Friday 3rd June Bob will be conducting the for their performances on Radio 3.

At the age of 17, became the first ever winner of both the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician of the Year and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms/Guardian Young Composer of the Year. In 2015 Mark was appointed the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Composer in Association' and also continues to perform as a clarinettist.
