It's a chance to celebrate the brilliant people and organisations that put the 'Great' into Greater Manchester.

Categories include community spirit and young achiever of the year as well as the triumph over adversity award.

The nominations have been judged by a panel led by Kate Squire, Editor of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Manchester.

Kate says: "We have been broadcasting to Greater Manchester for 50 years and I think this is a great opportunity to highlight the amazing people and community groups that make this the best place to live in the UK.

"I really hope all of our listeners get behind The Gold Awards and nominate people that mean something to them.

"I know there are a lot of unsung heroes across Greater Manchester's ten boroughs, and I am really looking forward to hearing their stories."
