Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Live comes to Cardiff for Llais Festival
We had an incredible evening on the 13th of October 2023 as Horizons and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing hosted a jam packed day of talks and music at the Wales Millennium Centre down in Cardiff as part of Llais festival.
During the daytime we hosted an important day of talks, workshops and networking with Beacons where Welsh artists and bands were invited down to learn more about the funding and development opportunities available to them through both the FORTE project and the Launchpad Fund. Radio 1’s Sam MacGregor and Radio Wales’ Aleighcia Scott took to the Glanfa stage with our very own Bethan Elfyn to shine a light on how they choose music for their radio shows. What’s more we also had an exclusive insight into the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Uploader with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing’s own James Threlfall at the helm.
As the day drew to a close Horizons hosted a banging evening of live music at the Weston stage featuring Source Collective, Nookee and headliner L E M F R E C K who all wowed a crowd of hundreds of people, highlightes of their performances can be seen below…

As well as the live event we also produced a special radio programme for Radio Wales which will be broadcast at 9pm on Saturday the 21st of October, featuring highlights from each artist and presented by our Horizons family Bethan Elfyn, Sam MacGregor and Aleighcia Scott.
This special evening of collaboration was inspired by Nookee’s song: Smile, which saw the band bring together a wider community of musicians to write and record this unqiue track, funded by the Launchpad Project.
