Press Release

Filming commences on new Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three comedy Pram Face

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three today announced that filming was under way on Pram Face, a new six-part comedy series about two teenagers on the rocky road from childhood to adulthood.

The series is being filmed in Edinburgh and brings together a great ensemble cast of established faces and exciting new talent, including: Sean Verey (Skins, Casualty, The Bill) as teen-dad-to-be Jamie Prince, and Scarlett Alice Johnson (EastEnders' Vicki Fowler) as pregnant Laura Derbyshire. Angus Deayton (Have I Got News For You, One Foot In The Grave) and Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings And A Funeral, St Trinian's) take on the roles of Laura's parents, and Ben Crompton (All Or Nothing, Clocking Off) and Bronagh Gallagher (The Commitments, Tamara Drew) as Jamie's parents. The cast also includes rising stars Yasmin Paige (Submarine) and Dylan Edwards (Ideal, Peep Show, Misfits) as Beth and Mike, two of Jamie's friends.

Zai Bennett, Controller of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three, says: "The team have assembled a brilliant cast to bring Chris Reddy's Pram Face to life and we're excited to welcome the show to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three early next year."

When Jamie, 16, and Laura, 18, meet at a sixth-form party after completing their respective GCSE and A-Level exams, little can prepare them for the result of their brief, rather drunken, encounter. From the moment Laura discovers she is pregnant, the series follows as she and Jamie face the big moments and big decisions about life and responsibility across those all-important nine months.

With meddling parents, hormonally driven friends, jobs, money and university all thrown into disarray by this unforeseen event, it is going to be quite the nine-month marathon for these two entangled teens!

Pram Face is written by Chris Reddy and is a Little Comet production for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three. It has been commissioned by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Controller of Comedy Commissioning, Cheryl Taylor. The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Executive Producer is Simon Wilson and the series producer for Little Comet is Lucy Robinson. Dan Zeff is directing.

The series is filming now in and around Edinburgh, until July 2011, for transmission later in the year on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three.
