Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales offers comprehensive coverage of the Referendum 2011 result

Wales referendum presenters L-R Betsan Powys, Vaughan Roderick and Felicity Evans

The results of the referendum asking the people of Wales if the National Assembly for Wales should have more law-making powers are due to be announced on Friday 4 March. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales TV, radio and online will be offering the nation a comprehensive service of live results, reaction and analysis from an expert team of reporters and political commentators both in Cardiff Bay and across Wales.

On Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Wales Jamie Owen presents live coverage of the results in Referendum 2011 – The Result. Along with coverage of the main count event from the Electoral Commission at the Senedd, the programme will also feature live results from all local authority counts along with expert analysis from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales's Political Editor Betsan Powys.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales is also supplying live coverage of the results to S4C in a special live programme from Cardiff Bay, Refferendwm 2011 presented by Dewi Llwyd, with expert analysis from its Welsh Affairs Editor, Vaughan Roderick.

'Yes' and 'No' campaigners, observers, as well as politicians from all the main parties, will join Bethan Rhys Roberts and Bethan Lewis in the Senedd. They will also be talking to members of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales's People's Assembly/Cynulliad y Bobl.

Felicity Evans presents live coverage of the results on Radio Wales in Referendum 2011 with Jason Mohammad at the Scala Cinema and Art Centre in Prestatyn in north east Wales, getting reaction from voters.

On Radio Cymru Dylan Jones presents a special referendum edition of Taro'r Post.

Also for the first time Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales will be offering a 'live event' page online with updates of news and views on the referendum.

For the live TV coverage Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales is setting up two special mobile studios in front of the Senedd, along with radio broadcasts from inside the Senedd event, for the live Radio Wales and Radio Cymru coverage.

An innovative new software tool known as Quicklink will provide live coverage from around half of the counts around Wales.

"Quicklink is something we pioneered the use of in the General Election last year," says Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Cymru Wales's Executive Editor, Politics, Ashok Ahir.

"The system is video over the internet. Using it alongside our established satellite newsgathering trucks gives us the flexibility to provide live coverage of every count."

"We're trying to show what's going on across Wales without being too centred on the Cardiff Bay count, although of course that is important," adds Ashok.

"What we really want to do is get a sense that people care about the referendum and that it matters to them in their day to day lives."
