Eva Pope (Waterloo Road), Maggie Steed (Jam And Jerusalem, Moving On), Jack Deam (Shameless, Moving On) and Wunmi Mosaku (Moses Jones) are to star in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Daytime's new drama 32, Brinkburn Street.

Set in a Georgian terraced house in Manchester, the drama follows the lives of two generations of the same family, one in 1931 and one in 2011, and is currently being filmed in and around Manchester.

Ciaran McMenamin (Jonathan Creek), David Ross (The Green Green Grass), Rebecca Callard (Sunburn), Tim Dantay (The Diary Of Anne Frank), Joe Dixon (Criminal Justice) and Steve Jackson (Coronation Street) also star in this drama timed to coincide with the 2011 Census, which is part of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Daytime's programming to mark the event.

The drama moves between contemporary Britain and Thirties Manchester, exploring the changing nature of society and the family and how each respective character copes with similar issues, subtly highlighting how the world has changed, but how human nature fundamentally remains the same. Their dramas are domestic but for the characters involved the stakes are high.

Each episode of the five-part drama, written by Karen Laws and Alice Nutter, will cover 24 hours and will deal with powerful topics including pregnancy; the impact of addiction on a family; love and infidelity; mental health; and ageing.

On top of each character's own compelling story, the series will be wrapped by the over-arching mystery of a human bundle buried behind an attic wall in 1931.

Alongside 32, Brinkburn Street, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Daytime will celebrate the story of how Britain has changed and developed as recorded by the census from 1901 to 2011, in Making Britain Count.

Each episode will focus on two decades from 1901 to the present day and will cover themes such as property, employment, social conditions, education, cost of living, leisure, national identity, marriage, and family dynamics.

32, Brinkburn Street is a five-part (5x45min) in-house production from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Drama (Manchester) for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Daytime. Commissioned by Liam Keelan, the executive producers are Jessica Pope, Gerard Melling and Hilary Martin. The producer is Erika Hossington.

Making Britain Count is being made by Twenty Twenty Television and will be broadcast daily across the week at 9.15am. The series is being executive produced by Lucy Hillman and Gerard Melling for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Daytime.

32, Brinkburn Street and Making Britain Count will be screened next March on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One HD.
