As part of this very special week, Chris Moyles and the team will be hitting the road and taking the award-winning radio show to its listeners.
Over the week, The Chris Moyles Show – Access All Areas will visit five towns across the UK where, each day, listeners will be invited to join Chris in a local theatre and watch the show being broadcast live across the nation. This will be a unique opportunity for listeners to see how the team put the show together and it will be the first time that it has ever broadcast live on television!
Listeners will be able to watch the show live via the Red Button on digital TV and online users will be able to see all the action on a live stream at bbc.co.uk/radio1. In addition, the live show will be screened on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Screens across the UK from 7am each day.
This morning (Friday 15 October) Chris announced that Portsmouth will be the first town they will broadcast from on Monday 1 November. Listeners can tune into the Breakfast Show on Monday 18 October to find out how to get tickets. Each day next week, Sara Cox*, will announce a new location and tell people how they might be able to get tickets to go along.
Chris Moyles said: "It's a radio show, on the television, live from a theatre, with an audience… what could possibly go wrong!"
This year AAA week will also be giving listeners the chance to go online and interact with their favourite Radio 1 DJs, find out how music is added to the playlist and quiz the Radio 1 team about how the station is run - from the big bosses to the producers.
Plus, on Sunday 7 November, listeners will get Access All Areas to the The Official Chart Show with Reggie Yates.
