Jazz Voice, a dazzling celebration of song featuring vocal stars from the worlds of jazz, soul and rock; South African legends Hugh Masekela and Louis Moholo-Moholo; Blue Note artist Robert Glasper; and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ New Generation Artist Shabaka Hutchings are among the broadcast highlights of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3's extensive coverage of the London Jazz Festival 2010.

This year, Radio 3 will more broadcast more of the festival than ever before, in its role as principal media partner. The festival itself continues to reflect the breadth and diversity of the global jazz scene with a phenomenal range of concerts taking place all over the city – many of which will broadcast on Radio 3 from November and into the new year.

From 12 November, London Jazz Festival performances will be featured throughout Radio 3's schedule, on Jazz On 3, Jazz Line-Up, World Routes and In Tune. There will also be special London Jazz Festival-themed Jazz Record Requests and Jazz Library programmes, bringing the London Jazz Festival to a wider audience.

In addition to broadcasting some of the finest concerts from the festival, Radio 3's Jazz Library will broadcast a series of interviews with key artists including Geri Allen and Gary Burton, as well as South African drummer Louis Moholo-Moholo – whose contribution to the British jazz scene has been phenomenal for over 40 years.

Jazz Record Requests, on Saturday 13 November, will preview the festival with listener requests for tracks by artists appearing on the festival bill. Jazz On 3 also carries a festival special live from Ronnie Scott's, hosted by Jez Nelson, with performances from a variety of festival artists.

World jazz is represented on both World Routes and World On 3 with concerts by South African Hugh Masekela and Mercury prize-nominated pianist Zoe Rahman – who brings her Bengali heritage to her music.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ is also strengthening its commitment to jazz across other networks. In October, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 will be launching Jazz Junctions – a new 10-part music documentary series which explores the ever-changing journey of jazz through its 100-year history.

Presenter Guy Barker comments: "As a musician, I'm really impressed with the range of talent showcased in this series and very much look forward to introducing what, to me, is a definitive jazz hall of fame."

Additionally, Jamie Cullum, fresh from his Prom success, will continue to showcase his love for all types of jazz on his Radio 2 show, along with a great line-up of interviews, including renowned vocalist JosΓ© James, pianist Jef Neve, American composer Maria Schneider and guitarist Martin Taylor. Jamie will also be speaking to Soweto Kinch and Hugh Masekela prior to their performances at the London Jazz Festival.

In December, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four will be broadcasting Dave Brubeck – In His Own Sweet Way, a new film co-produced by Arena with Clint Eastwood. The film will chart Brubeck's fascinating career, from being the first jazz musician to appear on the cover of Time Magazine to becoming one of the most adventurous and technically accomplished jazz musicians ever.
