Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland DJ Vic Galloway last night revealed the line-up for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Stage at this year's T in the Park.

Having made its debut last year, the stage returns to the festival on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July, showcasing 22 under-the-radar artists from around the UK, including eight from Scotland.

Jason Carter, Editor, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing, says: "We are delighted to be hosting a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing stage for a second year at T in the Park. Not only does it provide new musicians with the fantastic opportunity to play at one of the UK's major festivals, it also offers them wider exposure across multiple Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ platforms."

Vic Galloway says: "After 17 years T in the Park is now legendary and is still the biggest and the best with an unrivalled line-up every year. As well as the big hitters and headliners, it hosts a massive array of tents and stages for new and emerging artists and has been a huge influence on the local music scene, which continues to grow year on year.

"Scotland has so many world-beating acts across genres. Whether it's indie hipsters like Franz Ferdinand, dancefloor megastars like Calvin Harris or rock gods Biffy Clyro, it always punches above its weight, producing success story after success story. Having the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Stage at T in the Park, is yet another amazing way to showcase what talent we have in this wee country. As a champion of new and unsigned music, it gives me great pleasure to watch under-the-radar artists start their festival careers here before developing into headline acts in their own right. Scottish artists Young Fathers and Aerials Up headline the stage each day in the new returners slot – artists who have been supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing in previous years, who have now started to find a wider audience, are given the chance to return to stage where it all started and perform in this prestigious slot.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing is a multiplatform initiative across Radio 1, 6Music, 1Xtra, the Asian Network, Switch, over 35 Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Local Radio stations and at bbc.co.uk/introducing – all working together to provide an internal network dedicated to showcasing the hottest new talent from across the UK. Having launched at Glastonbury in 2007, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing Stage is now present at key UK music festivals throughout the year, including Glastonbury, T in the Park and Reading and Leeds. Musicians can upload their music at bbc.co.uk/introducing for the possible opportunity of being broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio, which could lead to a slot on one of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing stages. By supporting new music, over 500 bands have been showcased on a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing festival stage since it began.

There is comprehensive coverage of T in the Park on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two Scotland and Radio 1 across the weekend.

Edith Bowman and fellow Radio 1 presenter Reggie Yates return to present the best of the weekend's live music on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three, with roving reporter Alex Riley bringing all the news from the ground. Edith Bowman also presents the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two Scotland coverage with Radio 1 and Radio Scotland presenter Vic Galloway.

Radio 1 returns to T in the Park with live music highlights, the latest news and backstage gossip. Edith Bowman comes live from the festival on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 July 1-4pm.

Lou Hickey: Selected by DF Concerts
Having spent the past year as co-writer and vocalist of the critically acclaimed Codeine Velvet Club, Lou Hickey is now getting ready to release her own brand of vintage pop on the world. A sexy mix of quirky jazz and burlesque glamour, Lou's blend of retro pop perfectly reflects her vintage style. One for fans of Buddy Holly, Lilly Allen and Nick Cave.

JKLMNO: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Shropshire
Named after a random row of letters in the alphabet, JKLMNO was formed by best friends Carl, Elliot, Nick and two Daniels. An eclectic range of influences is heard in the band's sound of experimental rock with pop sensibilities; a sound that has led to a diverse range of comparisons from Sigur Ros to Spiritualized to Snow Patrol.

Gold Sounds: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music
A five-piece from London who meld indie-pop-folk-rock together to make a fantastic sounding noise. Together they rock, they roll, they soothe, they heal; and they tend to "jam it to the bone".

Cattle and Cane: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Tees
Cattle and Cane are a real family affair, with brother and sister Joe and Helen originally starting out as a duo performing around the local area. They eventually enlisted brother Frank on bass and Paul Wilson on drums and can be described as life-affirming blue-eyed soul tinged with a pop sensibility.

Admiral Fallow: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland
This Scottish six-piece have influences like Elbow, Midlake and Animal Collective. Their debut album has been described as "One of the best albums to have been produced in Scotland this year". Admiral Fallow are definitely not to be missed.

Lily McKenzie: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1Xtra
Lily McKenzie is a new talent in the ever growing UK Funky scene. As well as creating great tunes, she has also features on tunes by FunkyStepz – definitely one act to look out for.

Maxsta: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1Xtra
London grime artist Maxsta has already worked with the likes of Wiley, Ghetts and Terror Danjah and has been supported by Tim Westwood and DJ Target. He is definitely a name to watch out in 2010 and an artist to check for any fans of Grime at it best.

Hip Parade: Selected by DF Concerts
Having already supported Stereophonics on a UK stadium tour, Hip Parade are a Scottish band definitely worth watching. Any fans of recent indie acts like The Wombats, Jet or Razorlight will not be disappointed.

Real Dolls: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Manchester
An anarchic mish-mash of styles, backgrounds and genres, you could spend all day thinking of where The Real Dolls have nabbed their sounds from and still be nowhere near to pinning it down. Together, they mash up vibrant pop, hip hop, club beats, cartoonish manga visuals and insane amounts of energy to create an infectious whole.

Airship: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Manchester
Airship are a fantastic new band from Manchester and fans of White Lies, Elbow and Red Light Company should make sure to check out this hot new act. Making epic rock tracks without losing sense of who they are, Airship are definitely a festival band in the making.

Young Fathers: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland
Young Fathers are returning to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing stage after a high energy performance at last year's T in the Park, an imminent debut album release and excitement around them reaching fever-pitch. The three-piece have already supported the likes of Simian Mobile Disco are definitely worth looking out for.

Sunday 11 July

North Atlantic Oscillation: Selected by DF Concerts
Hailing from Edinburgh and Glasgow in equal parts, North Atlantic Oscillation are a three piece with the influences of Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips and Mogwai in their sails. Full of ambition, this band are warm, uplifting and most of all fun.

Fixers: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Oxford
Hailing from Oxford, Fixers produce a gorgeous summer mix of Sixties west coast psychedelia, spaced out Americana and lysergic sunshine pop – all plentiful multi-part harmonies, sleighbells and handclaps.

Jake Flowers: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Shropshire
Jake Flowers writes and performs acoustic rock and pop songs. Based in the Midlands he has been described as the closest thing you will see to Jack White performing folk. For fans of James Taylor or Paul Simon, Jake Flowers is a must.

The Arcadian Kicks: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Birmingham
This Female fronted five-piece, draw on the music of Portishead, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac, to create fantastic new indie rock. Fans of KT Tunstall will recognise the passion and drive in the young lead singer's voice.

Liam Bailey: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Nottingham
With a soulful voice and great song writing, Liam Bailey, originally from Nottingham now based in London, is surely one to watch out for. Already supporting the likes of Rox, Liam is one to check out for all fans of Amy Winehouse or Daniel Merriweather.

Profisee: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland
Hailed as one of Scotland's finest MCs of the moment, Profisee is killing every beat put before him. Edinburgh's finest lyricist will no doubt kill the stage wherever he goes. One for fans of Roots Manuva or pretty much any good UK hip-hop

Smiler: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1Xtra
Smiler started rapping eight years ago in the south eastern parts of London. Since starting, he has been to New York under invitation from hip-hop royalty Marly Marl and supported the likes of GZA, Royce da 5'9 and Wu Tang Clan. Smiler is one to check out for any fans of great UK hip-hop.

Silver Columns: Selected by DF Concerts
Signed to taste-makers Moshi Moshi, Silver Columns are a must listen for all fans of highly skilled synth-pop reminiscent of Hot Chip or Delphic.

Blitz Kidz: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Stoke
Blitz Kidz are emo-tinged stormers with a refined sound that seemingly hops from genre to genre. All fans of fresh new rock music made to get you jumping around will enjoy this five-piece no end.

Arp Attack: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Hampshire
Arp Attack are a four-piece from Southampton with a passion for synths and good song writing. Having already played with the likes of Delphic, Chew Lips and Two Door Cinema Club, Arp Attack are certain to be a sure fire hit with any festival goers who like to party on down into the night.

Aerials Up: Supported by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland
Aerials Up are a 10-member indie outfit and are probably one of the larger groups you will see at this year's festival. Hailing from Glasgow they make sunny indie pop that you can sing along to and are a must for fans of The Mystery Jets or Bombay Bicycle Club.
