Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ confirms radio coverage of Glastonbury Festival

Broadcasting live from Worthy Farm, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music's Lauren Laverne today revealed that the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ will offer comprehensive coverage of the Glastonbury Festival across TV, radio and online. The digital station will again be Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio's home of Glastonbury by clearing its schedules to offer 40 hours of continuous coverage to celebrate the festival's 40th year.

Laverne will join fellow presenters Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews, Craig Charles, Tom Robinson, Gideon Coe and Tom Ravenscroft to present coverage including live performances, exclusive interviews and regular festival news updates plus a voyage into the Glastonbury archives, late into the night.

Festival headliners Orbital are also set to present a special show for 6 Music on the Sunday (27 June) as a precursor to their live festival set.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1 is set to bring listeners highlights from the festival. Fearne Cotton (Friday 25 June, 10am-1pm), who broadcasts from the festival for the first time, and Jo Whiley (Saturday 26/Sunday 27 June, 1-4pm) both present Glastonbury specials of their regular shows, live from site, and Annie Mac presents an exclusive Essential Mix with Toddla T. Annie Nightingale also showcases key moments from the festival in her show the following week.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 focuses on spoken word with theΒ Glastonbury Poetry Diaries.Β Five poets appearing at the festival keep poetry diaries of their experiences. On their last day they broadcast them for the amusement of the Radio 4 audienceΒ (Sunday 27 June, 4.30pm).

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ TV will broadcast comprehensive coverage across the weekend, which will be announced at the beginning of June.

Online, bbc.co.uk/glastonburyΒ will beΒ showing extended performance highlights from across the weekend for seven days,Β unearthing gems from the Glastonbury archiveΒ plus much more to be announced.
