5 Live will provide live commentary and expert analysis throughout the tournament, as well as the sights, sounds, news and views from the first ever World Cup finals to be held in Africa.

Everton manager David Moyes, joins 5 Live's unrivalled team of pundits, including former England Manager Graham Taylor, former England winger Chris Waddle, former Wales international Robbie Savage, World Cup quarter finalist Danny Mills, former Danish International and World Cup 1986 veteran Jan Molby, former Scottish international Pat Nevin and former Tottenham Hotspur manager David Pleat.

The commentary team is lead by 5 Live's Chief Football Correspondent Mike Ingham and Alan Green. Mark Pougatch and Mark Chapman will present World Cup 5 Live Sport throughout the tournament from South Africa with live commentary and the definitive guide to the World Cup.

David Moyes said: "I'm really looking forward to being part of the Radio 5 Live commentary team in South Africa. The World Cup is going to be an amazing spectacle and to be out there seeing the sights and sounds of this massive event is huge."

Robbie Savage said: "The World Cup is always a massive occasion and being part of the commentary team with 5 Live is a privilege. I can't wait for the action to start."

5 Live will have key interviews, analysis and reaction to all the major stories from the team camps, as well as rounding up all the day's other sporting action including full coverage of the Wimbledon fortnight and all the latest cricket news.

Nicky Campbell will present 5 Live World Cup Breakfast (6-10am) with the latest news from South Africa, with Shelagh Fogarty in London with the rest of the day's news. Nicky will also present the 5 Live Breakfast phone-in, including discussions on the major talking points of the tournament.

Comedian and England and Arsenal obsessive Alan Davies, who describes himself as "profoundly obsessed with football", will present Armchair World Cup (Sundays, 11am-12noon) providing a fans perspective on the tournament. Joining Alan Davies on the show will be fellow comedian Ian Stone, and DJ Tayo who supports Nigeria and England.

Danny Baker presents his show, "a pirate ship moored off the coast of football", twice a week during the tournament on Saturday mornings (9-11am) and Wednesday evenings (9.30-10.30pm), with his unique take on proceedings.

Straight after every England match listeners can give their views on the nation's biggest football phone in, 606, with Alan Green in South Africa. 606 will also be on-air every Saturday and Sunday evening during the tournament to discuss all the big World Cup talking points.

Roving reporter Colin Paterson will be on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World Cup Bus travelling across South Africa from Johannesburg to Capetown giving a flavour of this amazing country and hearing stories from local people and fans.

Ahead of the World Cup former FA Executive David Davies presents Spot On, (Sunday 23 May, 7.30pm), 5 Live's guide to how England can win the World Cup on penalties. After the World Cup penalty disappointments in Italia 90, France 98 and Germany 2006, not to mention Euro 96 and 2004, David will be joined by guests, including ex-England internationals, to uncover the correct formula for going through from the penalty spot. What is the perfect penalty, does practice really make perfect and does psychology play a part in penalty success?

Radio 5 Live Controller Adrian Van Klaveren says: "If you want the ultimate World Cup experience with the best commentary from South Africa, plus news, entertainment, and your chance to contribute to the debate, Radio 5 Live is the only place to be from June 11. I cant wait!"
