Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

On Sunday 25 April, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ brings live coverage of the 30th London Marathon on TV, radio, Red Button and online. TV coverage starts on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two at 8.30am, and then continues on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One from 10am, finishing at 2pm.

Since the first London Marathon in 1981, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has broadcast the race to the nation every year and, over its history, it has grown to become one of the UK’s most iconic sporting events.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ is proud to be able to bring the full spectacle of this race to viewers once again, showing the many thousands of participants, the people and stories behind the scenes as well as the elite marathon race in the world.

Sue Barker hosts Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sport’s TV coverage with Steve Cram, Brendan Foster, Paul Dickenson, Paula Radcliffe and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson in the commentary box. Jonathan Edwards will be at the start line reporting on some of the fascinating human interest stories.

Out on the streets, reporters Katharine Merry, Colin Jackson, Phil Jones and Rob Walker will be among the action to bring viewers a real feel of the event as it winds through some the capital's many iconic buildings and locations.

Jo Pavey and Richard Nerurkar will be based on the lead vehicles, bringing a close up perspective of the elite women's and men's races.

Jonathan Edwards will also host the early evening highlights show on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two 6-7pm.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 Live also brings all the action from the day, with John Inverdale and Rachel Burden presenting from 8.30am. Expert analysis comes courtesy of former London Marathon winner Charlie Spedding and 5 Live's athletics commentator, Allison Curbishley.

Radio 5 Live will also have reporters around the course, capturing the unique atmosphere of the race and hearing the personal stories of those taking part. In addition, listeners have been leaving their good luck messages for runners over the last week – a selection of which will be played out on air.

Marathon fans who visit bbc.co.uk/athletics will have access to live streaming of the race as well as text reports, video interviews and reaction, plus an interactive map of the course.

Coverage is also available on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Red Button (8.30am–4pm) and viewers can catch up on all the programmes for seven days via the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer.
