The Two Kirstys become 'The Two Ronnies' for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need

Kirsty Young and Kirsty Wark as The Two Ronnies

Kirsty Young and Kirsty Wark leave behind serious journalism for a spoof sketch of The Two Ronnies' news bulletin for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need Appeal night, Friday 20 November on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Scotland.

Known for programmes such as Crimewatch and Newsnight Review, the pair are more used to doing pieces to camera with straight faces. The sketch is a true test of their professionalism.

Kirsty Wark said: "The Two Ronnies' was must-watch television – this is our homage to their humour, their specs and their clothes... It was great fun recording it with Kirsty, and we were both delighted that David Renwick, who had written the original gags, had agreed to us performing these and the two new, very special interludes."

There were two new jokes written for The Two Kirstys and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need including:

"We'll be meeting the woman who was thrown off her acupuncture course for not paying. In her defence, she said she had no idea how to enter her pin."

The Two Kirstys had a great time taking on The Two Ronnies' personas, even though both struggled to control themselves while recording this sketch for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need.

Viewers will be in for a real treat as they watch the pair battle through even more hilarious and ridiculous spoof news stories.
