As smash hit show Strictly Come Dancing prepares to waltz its way to the north west, fans are being given the chance to win tickets by taking part in special dance extravaganzas across the region.
For the first of these, on Monday 2 November, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Lancashire will play host to a sparkling dance event at West View Leisure Centre on Ribbleton Lane, Preston, where people can come along, learn dance moves with a professional dance teacher and get a taste of the ballroom experience.
By registering for the event those taking part will automatically be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets to see Strictly Come Dancing at Blackpool Tower on Saturday 7 November.
Bringing a touch of glamour to Preston will be Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Lancashire presenters John 'Gilly' Gillmore and Carole Turner who will be shimmying their way along to broadcast from the event as well as learn the dance moves themselves.
TV cameras from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One's North West Tonight will also be there to capture the moment with presenter Ranvir Singh, who is from Preston, hop-skipping it from the studio to join in and jazz things up. Clips from the event will be shown on the programme that night.
Gilly says: "I have never danced before so this will be an interesting experience for me not least because I will be doing it live on air.
"It's going to be brilliant fun and even people who have never danced before should come along and try it, because lets face it, no-one can be worse than me!"
Gilly and Carole will be learning to dance throughout the entire week from November 2-6 as part of the series of events across Lancashire including Chorley, Lancaster, Blackpool and Burnley.
To take part any of the events simply turn up to the venue on the day between 10.30pm and 2.30pm and register with Radio Lancashire. The dance lessons will take place at 11.00am, 11.30am, 12.00noon, 1.30pm, 2.00pm and 2.30pm for 20 minutes each.
Following each event a draw to win a pair tickets to Strictly Come Dancing in Blackpool will take place live between 4.00-5.00pm on Radio Lancashire for those who registered on that day.
Terms and conditions apply. See bbc.co.uk/lancashire for details and for more information on when and where the events will take place.
