Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Political Correspondent Tim Iredale is the new face of The Politics Show in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Huddersfield-born Tim, 37, will present the regional opt-out of the show when it returns to our screens this Sunday on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One at 11.00am.
He said: "I've been working on the show for a couple of years now but am really looking forward to this opportunity to present – particularly in the run-up to an election.
"Viewers can look forward to some in-depth, intelligent, interesting and entertaining interviews on all the issues that affect them and how they vote."
Now living in Bradford, Tim's career as a journalist has taken him to the extremes of the UK – from Scotland to the West Country and many points in-between.
He returned to his roots when he was offered a job at Yorkshire Television in 2001 and moved to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ as Political Editor for the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire region five years later.
Tim can often be seen and heard on national TV and radio. He is regularly used as a network correspondent by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, appearing on the Today programme on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 Live and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News channel.
Like many political journalists, Tim says the favourite part of his job is covering elections.
Tim lives with his wife, a veterinary nurse.
