Dev Patel joins Jonathan Ross tonight on his Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, and talks about taking his mum to the Oscars and how he can't believe he's going.
He says: "It's surreal, a roller-coaster. At one point the film was going straight to DVD, there was no hope. Then through word of mouth it became Slumdog Millionaire – the generic underdog story."
He also tells Jonathan how star-struck he was at the BAFTAs: "on the red carpet... with Sharon Stone... I said can someone please slap me – and Sharon Stone slapped me!"
Morrissey performs new single Throwing My Arms Around Paris plus a classic track and surprises Jonathan with a special present.
Actress Emily Mortimer talks about her late father: "I adored him, and I felt adored by him... he said to be a good parent, you never say no."
"[Before my finals] I said dad, will you still love me if I get a third? He said 'I'll love you even more if you get a third!'"
And comedian Michael McIntyre talks about his memories of Kenny Everett: "He picked me up from school with my mum, it was the most exciting thing, I said he was my dad for a long time!"
A Hotsauce TV production for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One.
