Long-time Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Manchester presenter Allan Beswick will be waking up Greater Manchester when he takes over as the station's new breakfast presenter.

Never one to be lost for words, Allan will report on all the latest news and views from across Greater Manchester and beyond.

From April 6 2009, Allan will present the weekday Radio Manchester Breakfast Show.

Allan has been a radio broadcaster for more than 30 years, 22 of those with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ. He currently presents a lunchtime weekday phone-in show on Radio Manchester.

Allan Beswick said: "The Breakfast Show is hugely exciting as it sets the agenda for the rest of the day. I'm looking forward to sharing breakfast with listeners across Greater Manchester."

John Ryan, Managing Editor of Radio Manchester, said: "Allan is known for his straight talking, but he'll be on his best behaviour at breakfast time! Allan's knowledge and passion for this part of the world will provide the perfect start to the day."

From April, Heather Stott will broadcast from 9.00am to 12.40pm, followed by Manchester Now and Becky Want from 1.00 to 5.00pm.
