Matthew Postgate appointed Controller of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Research & Innovation

Erik Huggers, Director of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Future Media and Technology, has today announced that Matthew Postgate has been appointed the Controller of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Research & Innovation.

In his new role, Matthew will be responsible for shaping and leading all research and innovation activities to ensure value is delivered to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, wider industry and academia.

Creating and delivering a long-term strategy to cover the next Charter period which is focused on delivering a Digital Broadband Britain, and developing and sustaining long-term relationships with external research institutes and universities.

In the short term Matthew will oversee the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Mobile Team, which he has been Controller of since May 2007, until his successor is appointed.

During his time as Controller of Mobile, Matthew has been responsible for the relaunch of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Mobile and the roll-out of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer on the iPhone and iTouch as well the first download version of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer on the Nokia N96.
