McFly sing it for Children in Need 2008

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need is delighted to announce that the 2008 Children in Need single will be performed by McFly, who will be donating all profits from the single to the charity's 2008 appeal.

This double-A sided single features the track Do Ya, from their current album Radio:ACTIVE, and a cover version of Rod Stewart and The Faces' Seventies hit Stay With Me.

Both songs will be performed for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need viewers on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One on Friday 14 November 2008.

For fans eager to be among the first to get their hands on the new single, it will be available to pre-order on the night of the 14 November as a two-track download from 7Digital.

The single will be available to download from Sunday 23 November and commercially available in stores from Monday 24 November.

Every single copy sold will help Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need in its aim to raise over Β£30million to help disadvantaged children across the UK.

McFly will also be switching on the Regent Street Christmas lights from outside Hamleys in Regent Street, London W1 on Thursday 6 November 2008 from 5.45pm onwards. This is a traffic-free event.

The theme of this year's appeal is "Do Something Different" and the charity is asking you to take up the challenge.

anything difficult, expensive or scary; it just means doing something outside of your normal routine which will help raise money.

For every penny donated to the appeal, a penny will go towards projects working with disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
