Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London 94.9FM challenges London's youth to combat violent crime in their capital

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London 94.9 is challenging young Londoners to draw up their own manifesto to help combat violent crime in the capital.

Μύ

The station's Drivetime programme, presented by Eddie Nestor and Kath Melandri, will be broadcast live from the East End before an audience of teenagers on Wednesday 11 June.

Μύ

Eddie Nestor said: "While the great and the good debate youth crime, younger listeners often ask us who's listening to them? We want to put this right with an opportunity for London youth to speak directly to the capital to discuss their feelings and share their views."

Μύ

The young audience's manifesto for change put together during this programme will then be presented to Mayor Boris Johnson.

Μύ

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ London 94.9 will check the progress of this plan in a special day of programmes, exploring the issues further later in June.
