Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ extends competition deadline for entrepreneurs

Young Swahili-speaking entrepreneurs across Africa now have until Friday 23 May to enter the popular Faidika na Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ (Prosper with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ) competition.

Μύ

This gives young business-minded people aged 16 to 24 an extra week to submit their proposal on how they can start a successful business that has a positive impact on their community, using US $5,000.

Μύ

The proposal should be no longer than 1,500 words. Tips on how to write it can be heard on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Swahili's news and current affairs programme, Dira Ya Dunia, and are available online at bbcswahili.com.

Μύ

Salim Kikeke, Faidika na Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Project Manager said: "People told us they needed more time to work on what could potentially be a life-changing business plan. That is why we decided to extend the closing date by one week."

Μύ

The proposal can be emailed to faidika@bbc.co.uk or posted to the following:
