Mastermind Cymru goes junior
|
Is there a Mastermind Cymru champion in your house? If so, here's their chance with a brand new series about to go into production.
Μύ
But before mam and dad dive for the encyclopaedia to sharpen their knowledge in preparation, they should be aware that Mastermind Cymru has changed this year to Mastermind Plant Cymru (Junior Mastermind Wales).
Μύ
For the first time in Welsh, the next series is for children only, year-six primary school children to be exact.
Μύ
And, before mam and dad start sulking, Mastermind Cymru producers are still keen for them to get involved, with an appeal to give as many children as possible the opportunity to take part in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's famous quiz show and the honour of sitting in the distinguished black chair.
Μύ
Welsh schools have already received information packs and are currently looking for potential candidates among their pupils.
Μύ
So if you think your child has the potential of shining under pressure and possibly becoming the first ever Mastermind Plant Cymru champion, contact your child's school or contact the series producers direct on mastermindcymru@bbc.co.uk.
Μύ
Betsan Powys is again fronting this new series and is looking forward to being amazed at the knowledge of Welsh kids.
Μύ
"We'll be trying to find out how much the children know, not how much they don't know," says Betsan. "This is their chance to prove that Welsh children are among the brightest."
Μύ
The closing date for applications is 25 April 2008.
