Chance to star on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Screen in Rotherham
|
Community groups are being given the chance to have a short film made about their work and shown on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Screen in Rotherham.
Μύ
Britain's biggest volunteering charity, Community Service Volunteers (CSV), has teamed up with Voluntary Action Rotherham and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Big Screen to offer free production of a short film to local groups.
Μύ
CSV has assembled a small project team who will arrange to visit local projects across the town. The team will work with the community group's volunteers, members and beneficiaries to compile a storyboard and produce a short film.
Μύ
The films will then be considered for screening on Rotherham's Big Screen in All Saints' Square and on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ South Yorkshire website, bbc.co.uk/southyorkshire.
Μύ
Andy Kershaw, CSV Action Producer at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Sheffield, said:
Μύ
"Groups might want to use such a film to tell everyone about their work, recruit new volunteers or supporters or highlight their activities and achievements. Obviously we can't make a film for every local group, but we'd love to hear from groups who feel they have a story to tell."
Μύ
Groups who are interested in this initiative should call Andy Kershaw at the CSV Action Desk at Radio Sheffield on 0114 267 5444 or email: actiondesk.sheffield@bbc.co.uk.
