The "voice of the balls" helps celebrate Radio Devon's 25th anniversary
|
The man now known to millions as the National Lottery's "voice of the balls", Alan Dedicoat, will be travelling to Devon in the early hours of the morning on Thursday 17 January to help Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Devon celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Μύ
Alan, who will be announcing the numbers drawn in the midweek Lottery live on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One late on Wednesday evening, will be heading to Devon as soon as he comes off-air so he can co-present the station's birthday breakfast show from 8 till 9am.
Μύ
Alan, who hosted Radio Devon's breakfast show before heading off in 1987 to become a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 newsreader (and sidekick to Sir Terry Wogan), says: "It's a delight to be asked back to the station where I spent my formative years, learning my trade. To be honest, I'm grateful for any excuse to return to the South West, it's my favourite part of the world!"
Μύ
Alan joins a number of former Radio Devon presenters who will be making guest appearances through the day including Craig Rich, Tony Beard and the first voice to be heard on the station, Chris Loughlin.
