Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson in The Other Boleyn Girl

Strong slate for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films approaches the 60th Cannes Film Festival with a strong and varied list of co-productions.

Μύ

Set to roll later this summer is Sam Mendes' Revolutionary Road, based on the celebrated novel by Richard Yates.

Μύ

The film re-unites five-time Oscar nominee Kate Winslet and three-time Oscar nominee Leonardo di Caprio – for the first time since the 1997 all-time box office hit and Oscar winning Titanic – to play the leading roles in this heart-rending story of thwarted passion and the search for fulfillment.

Μύ

John Maybury's The Edge Of Love (formerly known as The Best Time Of Our Lives), starring Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Cillian Murphy and Matthew Rhys, has just started shooting.

Μύ

A beautifully drawn love story, the film tells the story of two feisty, free-spirited women, Caitlin Thomas and Vera Killick, Vera's husband William Killick, and the brilliant, charismatic poet Dylan Thomas who loves both women.

Μύ

Set to shoot later this summer is Julian Jarrold's Brideshead Revisited, starring Ben Whishaw, Matthew Goode, Hayley Atwell with Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon.

Μύ

A heartbreaking romantic epic adapted from one of the truly great works of fiction of the 20th century, Brideshead Revisited is a gorgeously evocative story of forbidden love and the loss of innocence set in a pre-Second World War era when privileged aristocracy fell into decline.

Μύ

In post production are several high-profile Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films co-productions:

Μύ

Justin Chadwick's tale of Mary and Anne Boleyn, The Other Boleyn Girl, starring Scarlett Johannson, Natalie Portman and Eric Bana, written by the much garlanded Peter Morgan;

Μύ

David Cronenberg's Eastern Promises, a London set thriller, starring Naomi Watts and Viggo Mortensen;

Μύ

Gillian Armstrong's Death Defying Acts, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Guy Pearce, about the dramatic last days of Harry Houdini's life;

Μύ

and Richard Laxton's nourishing, magical comedy about real life, true love and plump vegetables on a city allotment in Liverpool – Grow Your Own, written by Frank Cottrell Boyce, and starring Benedict Wong, Eddie Marsan and Omid Djalili.

Μύ

James Honeyborne's The Meerkats – the first time Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films has collaborated with the world-renowned Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Natural History Unit – is a highly dramatic family story that brings the heart of Africa to the big screen.

Μύ

Shot using ground-breaking filmmaking techniques in one of the harshest places on earth, the Kalahari Desert, the film is about meerkats growing up, pulling together and beating the odds.

Μύ

Three ordinary blokes may hold the fate of the entire world in their hands when they discover a rift in the space-time continuum in the gents' of their local pub in Gareth Carrivick's debut feature FAQ starring Chris O'Dowd, Mark Wootton, Dean Lennox Kelly and Anna Faris – Shaun of the Dead meets Back To The Future perhaps?

Μύ

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films has had a very successful time at the box office around the world too, with positive results for the likes of Richard Eyre's Notes On A Scandal, Julian Jarrold's Becoming Jane, Andrea Arnold's Red Road, Nicholas Hytner's The History Boys and Chris Noonan's Miss Potter.

Μύ

David Thompson, Head of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Films, said: "We think this is the most exciting slate of films we've ever had, with many more excellent projects on the horizon.

Μύ

"We are particularly proud of the range of films, the major international stars we are attracting to the projects we've developed, together with the exciting new and emerging talent."
