Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ New Talent and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms are searching for 11 to 16-year-old singers to take centre stage at the Royal Albert Hall in a fantastic new musical theatre piece by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman and poet Owen Sheers.

Successful candidates will be hand-picked for four solo roles and to be part of a 40-strong chorus, performing original songs by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman with lyrics written by poet and playwright Owen Sheers.

The top 200 applicants will be invited to London to audition with the best 40 singers taking part in a ten-day residential music camp (prior to the premiere of The Water Diviner's Tale on Monday 27 August at the Royal Albert Hall).

Applicants must be aged between 11 and 16. If you are a boy, your voice must not have broken.

The Water Diviner's Tale is a brand new Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ commission. It is a dramatic musical theatre piece for all ages which has been created by Oscar-winning composer Rachel Portman and poet/playwright Owen Sheers.

The world premiere of this new piece will be on Monday 27 August at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms (Prom 57).
