After You've Gone to return to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One


The recent successful Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One comedy After You've Gone has been recommissioned for a second series of eight episodes with an additional Christmas special for transmission later this year.

During the seven-week transmission After You've Gone gained at least 1.5 million viewers, rising from 4.1 million to a peak audience of 5.8 million viewers.

The second series of After You've Gone will see sparks fly once more between Nicholas Lyndhurst (playing Jimmy Venables) and Celia Imrie (playing his mother-in-law, Diana) as they unite in a bid to share not only parental duties but also the family home while Jimmy's ex-wife is overseas.

Dani Harmer, star of Tracy Beaker, will also return to screen as Jimmy's smart-talking daughter, Molly, alongside Ryan Sampson as Jimmy's brilliantly, eccentric son, Alex.

The sitcom is the latest comedy to return to the channel for a second outing following the recommissioning of Jam And Jerusalem and Not Going Out, both set to transmit later this year.

And two of comedy's biggest names, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse, are on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One in their sharp new sketch show Ruddy Hell! It's Harry And Paul on Friday 13 April.

Later this year, the channel will give a warm welcome to one of Britain's best contemporary comic performers, British-Iranian comedian Omid Djalili, in his self-penned, stand up and sketch show, The Omid Djalili Show.
