And Shabina's not the only new show - Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Oxford favourite Sybil Ruscoe will be back in April, completing the new Spring line-up.
Gearing up for her first show Shabina, 33, said:
"My afternoon listeners will tell you I enjoy sailing close to wind and people find this surprising especially as I am an Asian Muslim woman.
"We've covered all sorts of issues from the Big Brother race row to the war in Iraq, to the best way to make sure you conceive a girl.
Μύ
"Yes, I am outspoken but what people don't realise is that I am a married, working mum and so we try to tackle issues that matter to everyone.
"With a three-year-old daughter I am used to early starts and am really looking forward to the new show.
"Our listeners are going to be the backbone; we want people to get involved.
Μύ
"That's why we are introducing items like the Bus Stop Debate, where I'll be out and about finding out what really matters to people in our region.
Μύ
"But most of all I want to help people start their day with a smile."
Station Executive Editor Steve Taschini said:
"It's an exciting time for the station and we've been working to respond to our listeners.
Μύ
"We've just introduced a fresh weekend line-up and with Shabina putting the spark in weekday mornings and Sybil coming back to host afternoons we hope the spring-clean proves to be a winner. I look forward to getting feedback from people."
