Dara O'Briain returns to Mock The Week in 2007

Mock The Week, the programme that blends panel show elements with stand-up comedy, off-the-cuff games and role-play, returns to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two in January 2007.

Mock The Week is hosted by Ireland's finest, Dara O'Briain. The resident panelists are actor/comedian Hugh Dennis and Scottish master of comedy's dark arts, Frankie Boyle.

They are joined in the first week by: Peep Show star David Mitchell; one of Britain's most cutting comedians Andy Parsons; Russell Howard, recently chosen to replace Russell Brand as Sunday morning presenter on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music; and one of the most exciting new talents from the stand-up circuit, Mark Watson.

Each week, in front of a live studio audience, Dara tests the wits of the comedians through a series of topical rounds based on the week's news.

The show was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, the creative force behind the iconic improvisation based show Whose Line Is It Anyway? which ran for ten years on British TV before successfully transferring to the United States.
