Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 listeners have pledged a record amount of money for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children In Need Appeal raising more than two million pounds.

Μύ

Sir Terry Wogan said: "Every year I'm astounded by the generosity of the British public but this year - even before I start at 7.00pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One - Radio 2 listeners have excelled themselves by my highest expectations raising over two million pounds. It's amazing!"

Μύ

Terry Wogan's on-air auction of "money can't buy" prizes on Radio 2 raised Β£512,450 for Children in Need in just four days.

Μύ

Bidding peaked on Wednesday, when one listener pledged Β£47,000 to travel to Finland and see the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest filmed with Terry.

Μύ

The auction raised Β£72,950 more than last year's total of Β£439,500.
